Project Description
C&M assisted the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts & Culture Coalition (MAACC) in exploring a formal relationship to facilitate developing a regional arts and culture agenda to include in the portfolio of services provided by ARC, Atlanta’s metropolitan planning agency.
The process followed to develop C&M’s conclusions and recommendations included:
- A detailed document and literature review
- Interviews of board members, senior staff and external stakeholders of each organization
- Research of the best practices of peer cities and regions in planning, supporting and funding arts and culture, and
- Examination of the legal and organization frameworks to determine constraints that require further consideration during an exploration of a more formal relationship
